Livable Futures field school graduate student research fellow Molly Rideout, shares experiences from a wetland trip during the 2019 Louisiana Field School.
The whole field school heads out to a wetlands island to plant 500 bullrush and 500 sawgrass plugs.
Planting meant having to walk through deep muck and sometimes pulling yourself through it like an alligator (not pictured: a few baby alligators spotted!)
Recent graduate Natalie Dalea in the muck.
In the end, the newly planted grasses spanned a full mile.
