Join Navarra in this contemporary dance workshop in collaboration with Livable Futures.

The workshop begins with an emphasis on listening to the individual body, exploring a full range of physical sensations, rhythms, and efforts. We then move into an awareness of our collective body in space. Through structured play and improvisation, we uncover a movement landscape that is entirely unique to this space, in this moment, with these people.

Navarra encourages participants to trust the unique physical wisdom contained in each body while approaching the body with an honest curiosity for yet undiscovered potentials for movement. Participants are given an opportunity to transfer the tasks of generating and remembering from their minds to their bodies, dancing together and making space for surprise and delight.

Navarra's workshops are grounded in open dialogue and shared experiences and draw from Navarra’s experience in Gaga, improvisational theater, classical dance training, and years of work with inspiring movers of all ages and backgrounds. She is thrilled to be invited into the communities at Flux + Flow and Livable Futures.

This class is donation based! Pay what you can and the proceeds will support Flux+Flow as a space where all are welcome.
